There is Always Hope

I have often been guilty of believing that my opinion was quite obviously the right one. After all, how could anyone else that had spent any significant amount of time come to any conclusion other than mine?

Arrogance has never been a real downfall of mine. Or at least I thought. And then I started to take a serious look at my position on the opening statement of this entry. At the same time, I began to notice some distinct patterns in my opinions. For example, where political issues are concerned, to be honest, I have never truly voiced any major opinions in the past. Most all of my opinions have been adopted from someone else (presumably, but by no means definitely, from someone more informed than I was). They were then edited into my own personal voice, and set out on display for all to admire and accept.....

Man, did I have a lot to learn....

Believe me, I don't presume to be an "opinion leader" among the masses....more like one among the few. Am I taking measures to change this fact by beginning this blog? To be honest, I think I am looking more to provide a means to entertain with my "skewed" point of view. Better still....the opportunity for everyone to take a few minutes to laugh at me, while I am laughing at myself.

Don't be fooled, my messages are going to be serious.....just keep your head down because my sarcasm is, at times, blinding.....
